How to configure a private repository on Ircam Forum?

You might want to give your project a homepage for information and discussion but you are not ready yet to disclose its content to the world.

In this guide, we assume you already have an external and private repository hosted on either GitHub or Ircam's forge-2

1. Create a new project

  • In the Files repository section, check I already have a repository
  • In the External repository section that just appeared, paste the URL to your private repository

2. Allow Ircam Forum to read your external repository

Your repository is hosted on GitHub?

  • Go to your repository page
  • Click on the Settings tab of your repository
  • Click on Collaborators in the left-side menu (you will be asked to input your password)
  • In the input field below Search by username, full name or email address, enter ircamforum and select it
  • Click on Add collaborator

The invitation will be automatically accepted within a few minutes at most and you will receive a notification.

  • It's done! Refresh your project page.

Your repository is hosted on forge-2.ircam.fr?

  • Go to your repository page
  • Click on Settings > Members in the left-side menu
  • In the Select members to invite input field, enter ircamforum and select it
  • In the Choose a role permission select field, choose Reporter
  • Leave Access expiration date empty
  • Click Add to project
  • It's done! Refresh your project page.
